Prior to Southern - Epperly prepped at West Des Moines Valley high school for coaches Tracy Johnson and Ben Stein ... A three-year letter winner for the Tigers Epperly was selected as a first-team All-Conference CIML selection twice, crowned as the State Individual Champion in 2015 ... Epperly would also garner first-team All-State in 2016 with the Tigers winning the 4A State Championship along with being selected onto the Des Moines Register All Elite Team and as the Register's Golfer of the year and qualified for the US Junior Amateur Championship ... Did not compete at North Dakota State before transferring to Kirkwood CC and garnering NJCAA DII first-team All-American status ...
