Marriage Record of Abram Icek WAJSBLECH and Sura Erla KON / KOCHANE, AKT #9 recorded in Lublin in 1891.
I am interested in the date of marriage. Also...

Groom: Age? occupation? son of Herszek and Wita GOLDSZAJN.

Bride: Age? Parents are Israel Hersz and Rywka GROSBERGER. Is any reason given why she is known as KON aka KOCHANE?
Thanks!

On  Response
6/15/2020 4:15 AM Marr. 9 reg. in Lublin Feb 11, 1871 of Abram Icek WAJSBLECH, 24, son of Herszek (died) and Wita nee GOLDSZAJN to Sura Erla KON vel KOCHANE, 20, from Opoczno, dau. of Izrael Hersz (died), and Rywka nee GROSBERGER
6/15/2020 6:54 AM groom 24 yo, any occupation recorded.
his father Hershko had died
bride 20 yo,
her father Israel Gersh had died
her mother is Ryfka nee (that is she was born) Grossberger
Now the explanation of the surname:
Her late father was Kohen. even in Hebrew today there are two forms of it: כהן and כהנא. russian language has NO sound for "ה". so it turns to be sound "G" like "Gematoma", or, sometimes, "kh", or dissapears like in "istoriya"-hystory
Israel Gersh got two opportunities: KOHEN - KON and KOHANE - KOKHANE
more than that: the bride herself signs at the end by two surnames Erlya KOKHEN aka KOKHAN. You can see it at the beginning of the second signatures' line. The Russian letter for "kh" looks like latin "x".
