DoD (Department of Defense) is a contracting organization and is very different in nature. The DoD topics are very specific, clearly stating the performance criteria expected from the proposed methodology as well as providing information regarding the application within DoD. DoD is experimenting with many new methods – project pitches, direct to Phase II and the basic proposal preparation structure in response to Broad Agency Announcements. This webinar will describe how to learn more about each topic and how and when to engage with the topic author. DoD has a limited time periods in which one can ask questions of the topic author. The value of doing this and how to approach a topic author are discussed. It is also common to engage with prime contractors at this point to provide Letters of Support. The requirements for developing a responsive proposal will be highlighted as well as a suggested timeline for proposal preparation.
