BDAC Summer 2020 Survey
Dear BDAC members,

Mrs Charest (the Quebec sports minister) has announced this week that the summer sports will be reopened in phases. Although summer pools are not part of the May 20th Phase 1 reopening, they have not been excluded for the other phases of reopening.  It is still unclear when or if the summer pools will open, however it is clear that we will need to practice social distancing for the entire summer.  If the government allows us to open, this summer season would be a maximum of 8 weeks. ALPS (Association of Lakeshore Pools) has already announced that there will not be any ALPS sanctioned events for the summer of 2020 (swim meets, synchro and diving competitions and waterpolo matches).

All of this being said, we would really appreciate if you can take a few minutes to answer the following three questions. Your answers will be very helpful for us to determine which scenario would be the best fit for this summer at BDAC.

1. Keeping in mind that there would be measures taken to ensure the safety of everyone, if BDAC opens this summer for recreational swimming only, would you and your family be willing to come and swim at the pool? *
2. If you answer yes above, would you prefer to pay a one time reduced membership fee for the entire summer or pay as you come?
Clear selection
3. Always keeping in mind that there would be measures taken to ensure the safety of everyone, following the government’s recommendations (social distancing, etc.), if lessons and/or programs would be offered, would you and/or your children be willing to participate?
Clear selection
Thank you for answering our survey,  if you have any other comments,  please feel free to let us know.
