Introduction: The Antibody-Mediated Injury Working Group of the Banff Foundation on Allograft Pathology invites you to participate in a Multidisciplinary Transplant Conference Questionnaire. The care of transplant recipients is complex, requiring a collaborative and multi-disciplinary effort. This research study entails the coordination of the responses of healthcare professionals from a range of disciplines to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the transplant recipient's medical, behavioral, and psychosocial needs. Despite the evidence supporting the benefit of a multidisciplinary approach in transplantation, very little is known regarding the actual proportion of transplant centers practicing regular, comprehensive, multidisciplinary transplant conferences.
To better understand the current practice and perceived value of multidisciplinary perspectives in the diagnosis and management of transplant patients at risk for immune-mediated injuries, we are seeking responses from transplant professionals worldwide to a brief 10-minute survey. Participation in this research study is voluntary, and your responses will be collated and analyzed anonymously.
Purpose of the Study: This survey aims to determine the current protocols used for diagnosing and treating antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) in organ transplantation.
Procedures: If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey. The distribution of the survey is being facilitated by the Yale Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant, Your participation is voluntary, and your responses will be collated and analyzed anonymously by Yale researchers.
Risks and Benefits: There are no anticipated risks associated with participating in this survey. However, your insights will help us gain valuable knowledge in organ transplantation which could benefit transplant patients.
Confidentiality: Your responses will be kept confidential. Any information shared will be anonymized and aggregated for analysis purposes. Your name or any personally identifying information will not be linked to your responses.
Voluntary Participation: Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question or withdraw from the study at any time without consequence.
As you may be approached to complete the survey by different societies/groups, please note that you should only complete this survey only once. If you have already responded to the survey, you need not complete it again.
Contact Information: If you have any questions about the study or your participation, you can contact Laurine Bow at Yale University, laurine.bow@yale.edu OR 203-745-6368.
