Michigan Voter Signature Law Challenger Survives Standing Attack

A liberal advocacy group may continue to challenge a Michigan law that requires requires election officials to verify signatures for voters’ absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots, after a federal court in the state declined to address whether it had standing.

The Michigan Senate and its House of Representatives also may intervene to defend the law, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said.
