Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Lily Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, friends!
It's time to share a NEW monthly feature with you. That is....
introducing Altenew Craft-A-Flower (Lily) with you.
We are celebrating this new feature with a blog hop and you can find all details about this over Altenew Card Blog!
https://shrsl.com/29my7
Craft-A-Flower die sets are released monthly and celebrate the beauty of a wide variety of flowers! Each set includes all the pieces you need to create a multi-layered floral arrangement, inspired by our popular 3D flower dies. All you need to add is colored cardstock and a die cutting machine.

If you arrive from the blog of Nathalie DeSousa, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

Let me tell ya, this die works like a DREAM! It is super easy and fun to line up.
I had a blast creating with this set and you will, too!
Altenew-Craft-A-Flower-Lily-Virginia#2

I opted the organic approach, so I made my own color paper with the Altenew 24 Pan Watercolor Pan Set and Watercolor Paper Pad (9"x12").
The  color- layering card stock will make this an easy task, too!
Altenew-Craft-A-Flower-Lily-Virginia#3

I used one sheet from d Watercolor Paper Pad (9"x12") for all the layered pieces.
Before my bed time, I painted the paper in various shades of pink, yellow, red, orange and green.
The first thing in the morning, I get to die-cut all the pieces.

The colors are so rich and bright! I decided to incorporate dots (Feeling Dotty Stencil with Embossing Paste) into the background.

The flower center was die cut from black card stock.
The sentiment from Dot Botanicals is just lovely in this.

Absolutely gorgeous Virginia! How cool that you made your own paper with watercolors! I’m so excited about the Craft A Flower option!!!

Sheila said...

Making your own paper with the watercolors added depth to the flowers vs die cutting single colored papers. The dots made with the embossing paste added and other 3-D element. Having some of the flowers go off the edge drew your eyes out from the card - nice touch. Spectacular work! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity with us!!!!
