Title
MCNA Club of the Year Award 2020
Each year Middlesex County Netball Association (MCNA) awards a club in Middlesex with the MCNA Club of the Year Award. The winner of this award will have demonstrated significant achievement during the season, and is selected by the MCNA Management Committee.
Last year the Award went to Old Fincunians Netball Club.
A very long-established Netball Club, which supports several senior teams and has a growing junior section which is gaining respect among top teams in competitions. In order to support the development of the Club as a whole, members are actively encouraged to gain umpiring and/or coaching awards and experience, with considerable success. The Club is outward looking, arranging for external coaches to provide sessions, supporting those suitably qualified members to use their skill beyond their Club and local area and promoting grass root netball by organising an event for beginners, juniors and mums and dads! The wide view of the Club extends to having one of their members recently appointed as a non-executive Board Member of England Netball.
This year we would like to give you the opportunity for putting forward your club or a club you know for the Award and telling us all about their achievements during the 19/20 season.
These achievements don’t necessarily have to be about achieving success in the elite netball arena. They may be about developing grass routes netball, the achievements of your juniors, coaches, umpires and volunteers, developing netball opportunities for people that otherwise might not have had access to netball, developing netball facilities in your community, being awarded a CAPS award, achievements on the netball court whether at an elite level or a local level.
We would like to hear about those achievements and are asking you to nominate a club that you know has made a significant contribution and developed netball in Middlesex this year for the MCNA Club of the Year Award 2020.
To nominate a club please complete the online form giving details of the club’s achievements and why you think they deserve this award. Anyone can nominate a club – the club itself, an individual, a league, anyone from the netball community that would like a club’s achievements to be recognised. The award will be made at the MCNA AGM on 25th June where all nominations will be acknowledged.
We look forward to hearing back from you. Deadline is 31st May 2020.
