In the period from 2017 to 2020, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) provided funding for around 650 projects with an element of cooperation with Austria, placing it eighth among the SNSF’s 145 partner countries. With 110 cooperation projects, Austria is Switzerland’s fifth most important partner (following Germany, France, the Netherlands and Sweden) in Eureka, the initiative which aims to foster cross-border cooperation projects in technology- and market-oriented research and development.
