Welcome to CreativePlaces Baltinglass

A community led three year project that celebrates Baltinglass people and place

About the project

Following a successful application led by Wicklow County Council’s Arts Office in partnership with local community development organisations across West Wicklow, the people of Baltinglass were selected by the Arts Council to participate in the Creative Places Network and Programme.

Creative Places provides an opportunity for places (such as towns, villages, suburbs, island communities) that have had fewer opportunities to participate in the arts in the past, to build creative programmes which will benefit the local community.

Baltinglass is steeped in history and rich in natural beauty.  Built on the river Slaney, the original settlement centered around the town's main market square.
