Talent Development Solutions: In common with many other sectors of the economy, the Irish film industry faces ongoing challenges in attracting and retaining talent. As a result, the screen sector needs to recruit graduates and professionals from outside of the industry with the necessary transferrable skills and who are passionate about film and want to pursue a career in the sector.  Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland has joined forces with the School of Media, TU Dublin and the TU Dublin Enterprise Academy to provide an accredited training programme for new entrants to the fast-growing Irish film and TV production sector. The Passport to Production programme was developed by Screen Ireland’s skills development team as a flagship training and work placement programme, accredited through Technological University Dublin’s Linked Provider partnership model as a Level 6 QQI 10 ECTS credit programme. This builds upon the Screen Ireland / TU Dublin partnership developed by the Enterprise Academy Senior Engagement Manager, Hugh McAtamney and Dr. Caroline Ann O'Sullivan, the current Head of the School of Media and many others. What an incredible morning welcoming BT Sourced leaders and learners to Technological University Dublin for the first day of the new Applied Certificate in Procurement Management programme at TU Dublin's Aungier St Campus. Developed and accredited by TU Dublin's School of Business Technology, Retail and Supply Chain, this programme will bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application, equipping BT Sourced participants with the ability to drive efficient and cost-effective procurement processes while adhering to ethical and sustainable standards in achieving the organisations own goals and objectives. This innovative programme is the result of a collaboration with BT Sourced and TU Dublin's Faculty of Business that was brokered by TU Dublin Enterprise Academy. Speaking at the launch of the programme Dr. Claire Mc Bride, Head of TU Dublin Enterprise Academy said: "Throughout the co-design process led by the Enterprise Academy, it was clear that this programme constitutes an important building block in BT Sourced’s mission to redefine procurement for this world leading communications company. The convention brings 70 Skillnet Business Networks and Industry Partners together to discuss talent development - new approaches, strategies and high-quality educational solutions to skill, reskill, upskill in the workplace and strengthen businesses by securing and retaining the best and brightest of talent, now and for the future. Dr. Mc Bride discussed the recent successful collaboration with the TU Dublin Enterprise Academy, Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet and SportsTech Ireland that resulted in Ireland first Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Analytics, Technology and Innovation currently underway at Technological University Dublin. And the crucial role the Enterprise Academy played in bringing about the correct accredited educational solution for partners from across TU Dublin’s facilities and schools.
