I agreee: we need a stand alone EU Water Fund so that we aren’t reliant on EU funds for agriculture, rural and regional development to help supplement the financing of water infrastructure measures.

Deltares, as a member of both Water Europe and Euraqua, supports this call to deliver the Water Resilience Initiative. We need urgent action to protect and restore aquatic ecosystems, tackle extreme hydrologic events, and to share water resources equitably and sustainably. This is why we, together with partners across Europe, believe the Water Resilience Initiative is crucial in securing Europe’s resilience for water-related challenges -both now and in the future.
