Where are we located?

TU Dublin Tallaght is situated on the southwest side of the city on an 18-hectare site between Old Blessington Road, Belgard Road and Greenhills Road in Tallaght Dublin 24. Our Eircode is D24 FKT9. View our location on Google Maps.

Transport Options

The University is committed to sustainable travel. All users of the Campus are encouraged to bear this in mind when considering their travel options.

The campus is easily accessible by bus. The following public bus routes serve the Tallaght area:

W4 Orbital route (Tallaght SC to Blanchardstown SC)

A new bus service, the W4 Orbital Route, will come into operation in June 2023. It will serve The Square in Tallaght, Grange Castle Business Park, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. This new route will run, on average, every 15-30 minutes on weekdays and every 30-60 minutes on both Saturday and Sunday.

The LUAS Red Line goes to Tallaght and to Saggart. Take the LUAS to Tallaght Terminus. 

From Tallaght Terminus to the campus (10 minute walk):

  • On arriving at the terminus in Tallaght, exit the Luas and proceed right, down the platform.
  • Follow the blue/purple line on the pavement from the LUAS to the campus.
  • Cross at the pedestrian lights (Belgard Square East) and proceed straight.
  • Cross at the pedestrian lights (Belgard Road, dual carriageway) and proceed straight.
  • Proceed straight along the wide path and take the left entrance into the campus.

TU Dublin promotes cycling as a viable travel option to both students and staff.

There are currently no Dublin Bike facilities around campus, but students are encouraged to take their own bikes and park inside campus.

TU Dublin Tallaght is easily accessible via all major road networks, including the M50 and the Naas Road. For assisted navigation, we recommend viewing our location on Google Maps.

There is free car parking available on campus. 

 

Travel Apps

The Journey Planner App from Transport for Ireland provides journey planning, timetable and travel information from all licensed public transport providers across Ireland. Download the Real Time Ireland App, which integrates all real-time arrival information services from Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, DART, Iarnród Éireann and Luas services.

For travel by bus, Luas, or DART, get a Leap Card for convenience and to save money. Remember, you can save even more if you use a Child Leap Card until you turn 19! You can download the Leap Card Top-Up App and instantly check your balance, top up your card.

All Irish taxis can be verified by using the TFI Drive Check app to make sure the taxi you are taking has been registered. The app also lets you email a friend with your trip details.
